Restriction on Importation of Poultry and Poultry Products from South Africa Following an Outbreak of Notifiable Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza
Summary
Ministry of Agriculture, Marketing and Food Security through the Department of Livestock Services has instructed the following control measure to minimise the risk of Avian Influenza.
-Banning the importation of Poultry and Poultry products from Gauteng Province with immediate effect
- Permits will now only be issued from the Department of Livestock Services headquarters in Maseru
