Phytosanitary Border Inspection: Compliance with Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Measures
On 10thJanuary, 2019 the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security launched the Phytosanitary Border Inspection where the plants and plant related consignments will start to be examined by checking the relevant documentation which are necessary for their imports and exports as well as visual inspection where necessary. The event was carried out as a way of sensitizing the traders, stakeholders and the public about the importance of Phytosanitary measures for the welfare of our plants system as well as for trade facilitation.
